[비즈엔터 윤준필 기자]StarBe's Picks for the Taste and Charm of Korea
Continuing from Part 1
The "2023 Grow Twogether" program was operated by the global short-form business company SOON ENT. SOON ENT significantly contributed to StarBe's successful training with its SNS content planning, K-Pop producing, and management. In particular, through StarBe's official SNS channels, SOON ENT vividly conveyed StarBe's daily life and K-Pop training process.
Various contents such as experiencing Korean culture, Korean food mukbang, and Korean styling videos attracted the interest of global fans. As a result, the cumulative content views on various platforms, including the official '2023 Grow Twogether' account and StarBe's official SNS channels, exceeded 100 million views over the past four months.
To Indonesian fans, StarBe recommended places in Korea where they could feel the beauty of the country. Abel and Chelsea recommended spaces where the beauty and ambiance of Korean palaces could be felt. On the other hand, Kezia and Shella shared their experiences unique to Korea.
"Gyeongbokgung is a place where you can feel the beauty and atmosphere of Korean palaces. It was charming that we could try wearing Hanbok. I think it's a place you must visit when you come to Korea." (Abel)
"I have fond memories of Hangang Park. What was disappointing is that in Korean dramas, when you walk along the Han River, someone of the opposite sex approaches, strikes up a conversation, and becomes friends. However, when I went, there were only couples. I came with my sisters. Haha." (Chelsea)
"While I was in Korea, I enjoyed watching 'Street Woman Fighter.' Crews from the show, like 1Million and Just Jerk, operate a lot of dance classes. If you apply online, you can learn K-dance by dancing with them and breathing the same air." (Shella)
"When you come to Seoul, go to Namsan Tower. On Namsan, there is a space where couples fill 'love locks' while making promises of love. It's quite unique. Oh, there were a lot of couples on Namsan too. Haha." (Kezia)
An essential part of the travel experience is food. StarBe mentioned that after finishing dance practice, they recharged their energy by tasting various Korean foods. The first Korean food StarBe recommended to Indonesian fans was tteokbokki.
"We also sell tteokbokki in Indonesia. However, Korean tteokbokki is much more delicious. It's more chewy and much spicier. Indonesians are also good at eating spicy food, so if you come to Korea, I want to recommend trying tteokbokki first." (Chelsea)
"In Southeast Asia, short-form videos of people holding Korean soy crab with both hands are trending. After watching those videos, I really wanted to try Korean soy crab. When I came to Korea and tried it, it was indeed the best. If you come to Korea, please try it." (Abel)
"You can't forget chicken. It's not for nothing that 'Korean Pride Chicken' is famous. There were various variations, and the chicken with melted cheese was especially delicious." (Shella)
Focusing on 'K-Pop training' for four months, StarBe couldn't visit many places they hadn't seen before. StarBe expressed that the next time they come to Korea, they want to witness the Korean sea.
"Until this visit to Korea, K-dramas were the only way I could experience Korea. The Jeju Island and Busan I saw in dramas were truly beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn't go this time, but when I come to Korea again, I definitely want to visit Jeju Island and Busan."
