SEVENTEEN’s new unit, V8, is set to introduce a new album collaborated with global producers, including Pharrell Williams.
V8, a duo consisting of SEVENTEEN’s Vernon and The 8, will release their 1st mini-album, "V8," on the 29th. The new album explores the themes of youth’s wandering, confusion, recovery, and moments of growth under the concept of "consumed youth." The 8 and Vernon directly spearheaded the overall production of this album, showcasing their capabilities as a creative duo.
Pharrell Williams, a 14-time Grammy Award-winning producer, participated in this album. This marks the second collaboration between SEVENTEEN and Pharrell Williams, following the track "Bad Influence" from SEVENTEEN’s 5th studio album. In addition, producer BUMZU, who has worked on numerous hit songs for SEVENTEEN, joined the project to enhance its completion.
A large number of artists active in domestic and international electronic music, pop, and hip-hop genres also put their names on the credits. Participants include Kirara, a two-time winner at the Korean Music Awards, Mechatok from the European house scene, and Dylan Brady of the hyper-pop duo 100 gecs. Furthermore, various global musicians such as DPR ARTIC, DPR CREAM, Alice Longyu Gao, MILLENNIUM, and WILL NOT FEAR participated to broaden the musical spectrum.
Following the release of their 1st mini-album, V8 will hold solo concerts both domestically and internationally. They will kick off "2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE" at Exhibition Hall 1, Hall 1 of KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, from July 11th to 12th. They will then move their stage to AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong from July 18th to 19th to meet global fans.
