BTS's decade-long journey unfolds on Disney+.
On the 20th at 5 PM (Korean time), BTS will release episodes 1 and 2 of the documentary 'BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star' on Disney+. The documentary chronicles the journey of the seven boys becoming the '21st-century pop icons' BTS, capturing the relentless efforts, challenging moments, underlying struggles, and everyday lives over the past 10 years.
In episodes 1 and 2, viewers can witness the process of the seven members debuting as BTS, working on the regular album 'DARK & WILD' in the United States, episodes from the widely loved 'Most Beautiful Moment in Life Trilogy' series, and moments when BTS set various records. Through interviews, the members vividly revisit the atmosphere of those crucial moments.
J-Hope adds, "I had many concerns during the over two years as a trainee. However, the answer became very clear. Going with only these six friends was, in a way, the most fateful choice of my life," further fueling curiosity about their debut story.
Ahead of the solo concert at Seoul's KSPO DOME (formerly Olympic Gymnastics Arena), Jimin couldn't hide his surprise on the day he first heard about the performance, saying, "People are coming? We can do it for two days?" RM expressed the feeling of starting anew as he reminisced about attending various international award ceremonies and his first appearance on American television.
Behind the scenes of their significant impact on the Korean music scene lies hidden growth pains for the members. Suga remarks, "From now on, aside from the seven of us, there will be no one else who knows about this..." and Jungkook shares, "Continuously running and walking, it feels like we don't know where the destination is," revealing sincere stories behind their glamour.
Prior to the official release of the documentary, BTS posted posters for episodes 1 and 2 on their official SNS. The posters capture scenes such as their debut stage with the song 'No More Dream' in 2013 and the moment just before winning their first award at the 2016 'MAMA' (Mnet Asian Music Awards).
'BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star' will be exclusively available on Disney+, with two episodes airing every Wednesday over four weeks, totaling eight episodes.
